(Featured fabrics from left to right: "Mangrove" and "Middens" by artist Chris (Wirriimbi-Oak) Edwards; and the Deco Revival range incorporating three designs: "Pods, Stripes and Fantail", by artist Vikki Turton.)
“Arthouse fabrics… living, breathing, natural, artworks" - affording private and commercial clients, architects, designers, decorators, and developers - exclusivity for each project.
The launch ranges are the Indigenous "Julu Wajaar" and "Deco Revival".
The fabrics suit heavy and light upholstery, and all soft-furnishings. The designs derive from original works; and are hand screenprinted by Sydney-based arthouse screenprinter: Steve of Screenhaus."Working with original works of art across a new format; meant I had to work alongside a screenprinter who had artistic and technical integrity."
All the designs are printed on a range of hemps - from commercial canvas blends; to soft drapes. Hemp is a very old textile and lies comfortably with the Seeger Gallery vision of sustainability - from art, through to the environment.
Purchase fabric in stock; or choose the design for print orders over 25 metres.
